DIY Scrabble Tile Magnets for Under $15

Most people who know me probably either already know or are not at all surprised that I love crossword puzzles and word games. I’ve spent many MANY hours playing Bananagrams over the years and have been known to be perhaps a little too competitive in Scrabble games. I also definitely did a crossword puzzle at a bar one time…just once though, I promise. (It seemed like a really good idea at the time – thanks Philadelphia Secret Admirer!)

I’ve been meaning to do this project for months and I’m so glad I finally did. It was seriously so easy and took maybe 20 minutes once I finally had the supplies. Even if you are not crafty at all, you can handle this one.

What you need:

1. A set of Scrabble tiles – any Scrabble tiles will do, but if you don’t have any hanging around your house you can get a set of 100 on Amazon like I did!

2. Adhesive magnets – I used these magnetic squares, also from Amazon.

See? Only two things. Easy. The trick is to make sure you get the magnets that are already cut into squares like the ones pictured and linked above so you can just peel and stick them onto the back of the Scrabble tiles. Literally just peel and stick.

And that’s it! Repeat for all the tiles and you have yourself a set of fridge-ready Scrabble magnets!

Of course I immediately spent way too long standing in front of the refrigerator essentially playing Bananagrams against myself. It’s not that weird. It’s fine.

And there you have it. Endless entertainment.

Let me know how it goes if you try this out!
